I was so excited to document this stunning couple during their July wedding at The Palace at Somerset Park!
This wedding was extra special to capture for me because I went to high school with the bride, Sacoyah! It was wonderful to see an old classmate find her true love and be a part of her day celebrating that. I loved every minute of capturing The Palace at Somerset Park photos for them!
This couple met through some friends at a family function, and their love grew from there into what it is today.
Sacoyah works as an event planner, so putting together big events and ensuring every detail is in place is right in her wheelhouse. She understands so much of the nuance of what goes into planning an unbelievable event, and she knew the Palace at Somerset wedding cost was well worth it.
Her attention to detail from putting together events meant her wedding was no exception- everything was in its place and looked incredible.
Gilbert is a US Veteran turned full-time firefighter. I can’t thank him enough for all he has done for his country and now his community. It was an honor to photograph him.
I’m glad I also got to capture his fun side as he goofed around with his groomsmen and best friends while he was getting ready at Somerset Park!
These two are amazing on their own, but they are even more amazing together! I loved witnessing and capturing their love. One of the most fun parts of this couple’s relationship is their bond over sneakers.
They are huge sneakerheads and had to incorporate that into their day at the Palace at Somerset Park!
Another huge part of what makes the Palace at Somerset Park wedding cost worth it is the access to their outdoor space with columns, giving it such a sophisticated vibe worthy of a first look.
Sacoyah and Gilbert took advantage of this area for theirs, with Gilbert looking powerful and ready to see his bride in his white tux.
Sacoyah approached looking radiant and elegant in her lace wedding dress with gray underlay and timeless headpiece and necklace that completed the look.
The first look was so emotional as these two saw each other dressed to promise their lives to one another. I’m so happy they carved out this time to see each other before the ceremony and that this moment will forever be ingrained in them.
This couple a powerful sense of faith in their relationship, and they wanted to showcase that during their wedding ceremony. I was so touched and honored to witness this. It was a truly emotional experience.
The groom cried several tears of joy during the ceremony, including when ring placement happened. You simply can’t put into words what giving each other the rings and an eternal promise means. This is why capturing images of moments like these is so important.
The purple lighting added to the ambiance and the showcasing of this couple’s epic power and elegance through their faith, connection, and love for each other. It was unbelievable to witness their vows said in front of the people most cherished in their lives.
Being the sneakerheads they are, this couple, of course, had to change into some dope sneakers for the reception and had their bridal party join in the fun too! Gilbert had his Travis Scott Nike dunks and Sacoyah had on custom, oversized sneakers from Alexander Mcqueen. Bedazzled and all.
To kick off the party, the couple shared an amazing first dance, Sacoyah danced with her dad, and Gilbert continued his tears of joy as he shared a special moment with the other most important woman in his life, his mother.
The venue went above and beyond, making the Palace at Somerset Park wedding cost per person at around $119/plate with alcohol included in their packages seem like nothing. It was an epic party for this couple with so much great food, dancing, and quality time spent celebrating their love.
The Palace at Somerset Park Menu also cannot be beat. The food gave everyone enough energy to dance the night away, which is exactly what Sacoyah and Gilbert were hoping for!
I loved seeing all of their family and friends letting lose to show this couple how much they deserve a celebration.
Overall, some of the favorite images from this day – both the couples’ and mine – ended up being ones where we captured their incredible power and elegance.
Both the indoor and outdoor spaces at The Palace at Somerset Park led themselves to dramatic portraits (you know I love those!) of the couple and their bridal party.
There was so much love for this couple from family and friends. I loved being a part of their event and capturing the moments that will live on in their memories – with the help of the images we got – forever. The Palace at Somerset Park fireworks felt between these two are unmatched.
And their goodnight kiss with the building lit up in purple and the backdrop of the fire pits on the property behind them was the most epic way to end the night.
I am wishing these two nothing but a lifetime of happiness and continuing to be as connected as they were on this day.
