Wendy and Nick were oozing power and elegance at their Park Chateau East Brunswick Wedding, and I loved capturing it for them, as we’ve become close over the time they’ve been planning their wedding.
You may remember this couple from their epic engagement shoot in Central Park, where they took advantage of all the gorgeous scenery and were dressed to the nines for the day. Their wedding was just as dope. I’m so happy I got to witness their love again.
Their big day was so perfect – read on to find out all about the shots we captured and the memories that were made!
Wendy and Nick chose to keep everything high-end for their wedding as it totally fits their vibe as a couple. The overall theme was F’ing Fabulous by Tom Ford, with Wendy wearing the lipstick from the collection and Nick sporting the sunglasses. It fit them so perfectly.
There were lots of other high-end items on deck, too, with Gucci cuff links for the groom and Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes for the bride. They thought of every detail to match their personalities and keep the high-end theme running throughout the day.
This fun and sexy couple wanted their wedding photos to look like they belonged in Vogue or GQ, and we were able to achieve that look with them picking items that fit their personalities so well.
We could not have asked for better weather on the day we celebrated Wendy and Nick’s nuptials. It was stunning.
This made for the best lighting as we spent time capturing this epic bride and groom’s prep and portraits with their best friends and family.
Not only did the weather provide the perfect lighting for this image, I wanted to capture this moment as it continued the high-end theme for this couple. Wendy gifted Nick a Rolex to start off their life together. That’s one lucky guy!
Speaking of Vogue!
We also took advantage of that perfect weather and lighting during bridal prep. Wendy was looking as fabulous as ever in her bridal gown. Check out that epic train!
She wanted the dress to be as long and beautiful as possible, so she had the dress company add six extra feet to the train. It ended up being totally custom to her, and I love that.
Wendy’s maid of honor is like her RIDE OR DIE! They shared special moments as she got ready to see her groom and party the night away with their loved ones. I know they will cherish these photos forever- there is nothing like the love between best friends.
After capturing these two in the stunning outfits they would exchange their vows in, we grabbed some photos with the whole crew. They had a huge bridal party, including Wendy’s daughter Heily as a junior bridesmaid, that was full of life! I loved shooting them – it was a lot of fun, and the photos definitely show that, plus their love for this incredible couple.
Wendy and Nick had the most lovely ceremony inside the on-property chapel during their Park Chateau East Brunswick Wedding led by their chosen officiant. Their guests loved that everything was in the same place, and it still felt so intimate and special for the couple.
The Park Chateau cocktail hour did not disappoint. This couple and their guests were wowed by the top-shelf items that were provided, of course adding to the high-end theme of the day.
The Park Chateau wedding menu for the cocktail hour included a carving station, raw bar, and chicken in waffle cones with different sauces to choose from. So fun and unique!
Our bride and groom truly went above and beyond to make their guests feel like royalty. Nick made sure there were enough whisky ice cubes available for the day to make sure he and his guests were able to have proper cocktails. How appropriate at cocktail hour!
While this day was all about Wendy and Nick’s love, Nick knows that a bond between mother and daughter is forever and that Heily was now becoming his family too. He made a special speech at the start of the reception thanking everyone for attending.
But the true purpose of this speech was to ask Heily to allow him to be her official Dad, as he was applying for adoption. ABSOLUTE TEAR JERKER.
I could not be happier for these three as they start their life together. What a special moment between new husband and wife, mother and daughter, and future step-dad and daughter. These are the moments that there are simply not enough words for – this is literally why I do what I do.
The raw emotion is so evident in these images. It still brings me to tears looking back at them, and I’m sure they will do the same to Heily, Wendy, and Nick for years to come.
Let’s get this party started at Wendy and Nick’s Park Chateau wedding!
The first thing everyone noticed when walking into the reception was the elegant detail provided by Laurel Wood Designs. The stunning staircase, as well as the tall centerpieces for the reception tables, were all put together by this incredible company.
During dinner hour, Wendy and Nick kept it classy with live saxophonist, James White, walking around the floor, keeping their guests well-entertained.
As the night progressed, witnessing this couple’s family and friends party only got more and more entertaining. The garter removal and bouquet toss were no exception. The bouquet toss was like a scene from ESPN sports center- with bridesmaids jumping and some even winding up on the floor!
The entertainment didn’t stop there. Wendy and Nick’s DJ killed it with unbelievable lights, sparklers, and music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. It was an epic party!
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any more wild, this couple had a few more tricks up their sleeve to make this reception completely over-the-top memorable.
They had a Hora Loca, which translates to “crazy hour,” where dancers on stilts came in, danced with the guests and had them do the limbo. There was also a dancing robot – because why wouldn’t there be a dancing robot?!
Wendy and Nick got a chance to blast their guests from atop a stage with a CO2 cannon. More entertainment at this Park Chateau East Brunswick Wedding!
The reception may have been a great time with tons of fun and games, but at the end of the night, Wendy and Nick were thrilled to capture a few more moments in the library and ballroom of the Park Chateau, showing off their power, elegance, and high-end tastes.
I’m overjoyed we were able to take advantage of the stunning day one last time with this outside photo of their goodnight kiss with lit trees behind them. The most romantic. Congrats to this amazing couple!
